I’ve Been Asked to Edit My Review or Provide More Information

Companies you’ve reviewed may get in touch if they think you're referring to a different business or breaching AllReviews’ guidelines.

Why Would a Company Contact Me?

Contacting a reviewer is standard practice for companies handling problematic reviews. They may reach out for several reasons:

Unrecognized as a Customer:

  • At times, companies might need extra details if they don’t recognize you as their customer. By asking for this, they can swiftly identify, understand, and resolve any issues.

Review Appears Misplaced:

  • If your review seems like it was posted on the wrong company profile, they might inquire if you meant to review their business specifically.

Guideline Violation:

  • Reviews mustn’t contain confidential or personal details. If a company believes your review has such content, they'll request its removal.

Eligibility Concerns:

  • Should a company suspect your review doesn’t meet AllReviews’ criteria, they might ask for more information to confirm your experience.

This guide clarifies why and when a company might contact you about your review, aiming for transparency and effective issue resolution.

How Does It Work?

You’ll get a message from the company at the email linked to your account. It’s your decision on how to respond. We provide a week to address the concerns.

What Happens If I Disagree With the Request or Don’t Respond?

If you disagree with the company’s request, choose not to respond, or fail to provide enough information, your review will likely be removed after a final review by our team.

This process ensures both parties have a fair chance to address any concerns about the review content, maintaining the platform’s integrity.
